The Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has ‘instructed’ the British High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E Iain Walker to “keep to the limit of what concerns him” as far as Ghanaian Security and Police administration is concern.
Dr. Akuffo Dampare in a four page statement in response to a Tweet by the high Commissioner concerning the arrest of Ghana’s ‘War Monger’ and leader of “#FixTheCountry Movement” to appear before the law court on traffic related fences as very unfortunate and born out out of I’ll information on the part of H.E Walker.
The statement by the IGP seeks to give better and further information to the High Commissioner since his Tweet appears to be a one-sided assertion that interest him. “Ordinarily, the Ghana Police would not have responded to comments such as yours, obviously made from either a biased or uninformed position” Dampare fumed.
Dr. Akuffo Dampare concluded in his statement that “For the moment, we would recommend a Ghanaian saying that might guide you in your diplomatic engagements. The saying goes – ‘Do so fie Asɛm’ – it means learn to keep within what concerns you”
