The National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party, Salam Mustapha yesterday 23rd August, 2022, made history after supervising a successful TESCON elections on University of Ghana campus.
For some few years now, the once most vibrant and enviable TESCON Chapter in Ghana was gradually loosing its position on the political ladder with very low publicity and contributions to the growth of the party especially in the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency where they are represented by a hardworking Member of Parliament, Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan considering their voter population.
Salam Mustapha right after assuming the National Youth Organizer position begun his work by putting in place a working Committee headed by Hon. Charles Oteng and Sandra Sarkordie aka Queen Sandra with few other who went through TESCON Registration exercise, Vetting of Aspirants and eventually crowning it all with a successful elections.
The elections which took place at the University of Ghana Union Block saw the following elected Executives; President – Orlando Maxwell, Vice President – Solomon Kwasi Adjei, General Secretary – Kwasi Sarfo, Patience Ackah Nutsugah, Organizer – Prince Appiah Dankwa, Treasurer – Priscilla Gyamfuah, Womens Organizer – Baatimah Suruiya, Communications Officer – Francis Amoako Gyampah.
Over 2,000 voters turned out to cast yjeor vote in a fiercely contested election many of whom were showering praises on Salam Mustapha for mastering courage to bring all functions together to elect their TESCON leaders in that peaceful atmosphere. The heavy rains on Tuesday did not deter thousands of UG students from participating in the elections with several of them seen campaigning vigorously for their preferred candidates until the end of the elections.
