The President, HE Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has directed Hon. Ken Ofori Atta to take over responsibilities as the Minister of Trade and Industry.
In a presidential communiqué issued on Friday 6th January 2023 and signed by the Director of Communications at the Office of the President, Mr. Eugene Arhin stated; “The President has asked the Finance Minister, Mr. Ken Ofori Atta, to act as a caretaker Minister at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, until a substantive appointment is made.”
This new development is a result of the resignation of the Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr. Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng who resigned from his post on Thursday to pave way for his bid to contest the upcoming NPP Flag Bearer after serving in that capacity for closely Seven (7) years under Nana Addo/Bawumia led NPP Government.
