Former information Minister, Dr. Mustapha Hamid has described Former President John Dramani Mahama as ’empty person’ who should be handed over power again to govern this country.
Mr, Hamid, the Chief Executive Officer of National Petroleum Authority – NPA made this remarks on Thursday in an interview Mr. Paul Adom Okyere on a GOOD EVENING GHANA TV. He quized, “have you heard John Mahama articulate any serious policy position? He has absolutely nothing to his name and I want to sound very respectful but with the greatest of respect, he is quite empty”
Dr, Mustapha Hamid in making references to the recent comments by the Minister of Agriculture, Hon. Bryan Acheampong said; from where we are as a country, we don’t need Mr. John Mahama’s kind of Hollowness and shallowness to drive this country forward.
In his estimation, Dr. Hamid believes that, Ghana needs depth, deep thinking and somebody who knows the craft of government to be able to fashion out the kinds of programs that will transform this country. He said, those are the programs being undertaken by the current government led by H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo with the support from Vice President Dr. Bawumia. Mr. Hamid asserted.
In a question posed by Mr. Paul Adom Okyere on who he will support for the Flag Bearer of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Hamid did not mince words in calling the name of the Vice President Dr. Bawumia as the preferred candidate and the one to win the 2024 easily for the new Patriotic Party to break the 8.
“Dr. Bawumia is a good Human being and that is what you need a human being to be. A human being who has a zeal, passion and who has compassion for the people and that is what Dr. Bawumia has. said Mr. Mustapha Hamid
Mr. Mahama has nothing to his name that can make him superior to Dr. Bawumia in terms of putting ideas together to make lives better for the good people of Ghana, Dr. Mustapha Hamid further stated.
Dr. Hamid outlined instances that make the Vice President is in a better position to win the NPP Flag Bearer race eventually become the next President of the Republic after the exit of his boss, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in 2025.
