On Tuesday, 30th May 2023, the Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Kwasi Amoako-Attah, paid a working visit to the Central Region to inspect the progress work on the 31.2KM Assin Fosu to Assin Assin Praso Road project.
To the people of Assin Fosu and Assin Praso, this is the first in the history of the ancient town are seeing a DUAL-CARRIAGEWAY with beautiful road marking for the first time.
The road is being constructed by Shimizu Dia-Nippon Joint Ventures at an estimated cost of $50million and is expected to be completed by November 2023.
Speaking to some residents at Assin Fosu and Assin Praso by www.mayorcarlos.com, they could not hide their joy over the unprecedented massive road infrastructure being undertaken by the NPP government. Kwaku Oteng, a Taxi driver who who has been using the road from Assin Fosu to Praso on daily basis for the past 18years was full of praise to the government and in his opinion, the road is not just beautiful but it would go a long way to improve the socio-economic lives of the people of Assin Fosu and open the area to investors.
This project involves the rehabilitation of the 31.2km of road between Assin Fosu and Praso and its dualization into a 4-lane carriageway of a 1.2km Assin Fosu township roads.
