The Member of Parliament for Ofoase/Ayirebi Constituency has commissioned a solid Steel Bridge over the Asikusie River over the weekend.
The long standing dilapidated bridge in the Constituency which has hampered economic growth and short travel distance has been described as “OFOASE AYIREBI LONDON BRIDGE” by the elated constituents.
The commissioning saw hundreds of people in the community with Chief and elders in attendance.
The honorable Minister for Information in a tweet admonished the fact that he has delivered yet another promise to help improve the socioeconomic lives of the people in his constituency.
The tweet reads;
We commissioned a new steel bridge on the Asikusie River in the Ofoase/Ayirebi Constituency.
Our special thanks to Engineer Don Kuubeterzie, Chief Engineer Bridges at the Department of Feeder Roads.
Our thanks further goes to the workers who fixed the new bridge, the Chiefs and people of Anyinase, Adjobue, Otwereso and Asubiase for their cooperation. To President Akufo-Addo and Roads Minister Amoako Atta, thank you for never turning your back on our requests.
This new bridge will cut travel time, reduce travel cost and bring further relief to my people in Ofoase/Ayirebi.
